@jemostrom Not really. I like to follow Norbert Eder both on Mastodon and his blog, as well as Holger's photo blog. I recently filled my RSS reader with a couple of other blogs, but I am not sure if I will stick to them, yet.

@jemostrom Thanks! It's part of the 52 Week Photo Challenge, on picture and one topic per week. I find that both easier and more challenging then the 30 day challenges here.

@brianhall Yeah, that's a good strategy as well. I don't really have a better idea either.

@brianhall I struggle with that, as well. I like how Micro.blog gives me my own online presence, how I can follow and interact with people on Mastodon, and how Pixelfed organizes my pictures.

But while they all interact – I can follow my Micro.blog on Mastodon – Micro.blog is just different enough to make me question how to use it. Most importantly, no hashtag support, even though these are the primary way posts can be found on the other platforms. That's why I disabled cross-posting.

@mandaris Thinking about that again. Now that Mastodon is a way more established social media platform built on ActivityPub I start to think about where micro.blog fits in for me, personally. Do I crosspost? Do I follow people from Mastodon on here? Do I encourage interesting people here to follow me there? I still like the idea of having a personal space I control for my online presence, especially images. At the same time, I am fine with having my "microposts" to be more ephemeral. More customisation options would make Micro.Blogs place a little clearer in that regard. But I completely understand that Manton wants to build and run a social network here, not a Hugo hosting service.
